An Adorable First Birthday Party!!

This weekend we celebrated Max's first birthday with a Monkey themed party. Check out some pics from this weekend and learn how to make our cute Wall hanging in the previous post!
We hung Monkeys Everywhere!
We love the simplicity of this red and green juice bar.

There were so many monkey desserts to choose from!

Celebrate with this adorable Monkey Banner!

This weekend was Max’s first birthday and we celebrated by throwing an adorable Monkey themed party. We made all sorts of cute decorations for this event. Check out how to create your own delightful monkey themed birthday banner!

Start by tracing 14 circles (roughly 5” in diameter) using alternating colored paper. We added some variety by using textured and patterned paper, but you can use any colored construction paper. Cut out the circles and punch two holes at the top of each.

Trace three smaller circles for the center monkey’s nose and ears. Adhere the smaller circles to one of the larger circles, one in the center and two on the sides.

Draw each letter of your message and two dots for the monkey’s eyes and nostrils. Feel free to add more monkeys and drawings.

Layout your banner and string all circles together.

Hang across an entrance or wall to Celebrate!

Wrapped Boxes make excellent Food Decor...

Hospitality Suite from October. You can create a similarly beautiful set up by using wrapped boxes as risers for food stands. Simply pick your favorite wrapping paper and wrap as many sturdy empty boxes as you want! It’s a cheap and easy way to spruce up any party.

Creative Menu/Invite Ideas

We have created some really cute "Flip Flop" menus and invitations for an upcoming Luau in January. To make these beautiful invites your self you just need:

Label sticker paper and printer, scissors, and a cheap flip flop (like the ones you get free at the manicurist).

Print your invitation text in a narrow column onto the sticker paper (roughly 4" x 8" depending on the size of the flip flop). Cut the Text out (we cut it into a cute foot-print shape, but you can cut it as a rectangle). Remove the back of the stick label and adhere to the top of the flip flop. Add stickers, glitter, flowers, etc. Loop and tie a lei (these can be purchased at a craft or party store) through the flip flop and you have a fun way to invite your guests to beach party!
